Music is my Life

Hello! I'm sure that you came here to look upon a well thought out post relating toexactly what is going on in my life, and for that I'm sorry.  Instead, I'm going to name a list of songs that I believe would have been playing during certain occasions in my life this week had it been viewed on a screen, or as a movie.  With hopefulness that you will accept the songs for their lyrics and how they sound, here they are with the situations that occurred.

1. I Gotta Feeling- The Black Eyed Peas

Yes, I know VERY unoriginal in terms of how much it is overused when describing a night that you either have high hopes for, or something that was very fun, but, it fit perfectly with a date I went on this Friday night.
Audrey and I went to the BYU game and had a great time.  At the game we cheered our hearts out, listened to a NOT crazy lady rant about football, and best of all, witnessed a BYU win.
Though the game was fun and all, I almost feel like the real, "getting to know my date" happened at dinner while we were waiting for the other couple to fight through traffic.
Then after dinner and on the way home, this song just popped into my mind and I realized, (once again, unoriginal) that this was the theme to the date.

2. Love Story- Taylor Swift

I know what you're thinking, this song is about how much I am "FEELING" the love, but no. This song is about my grandma and grandpa Ivory.  They have gone through fifty amazing years of being married to one another.  Though I'm not surprised one bit that it has lasted this long, I believe it is a beautiful amazing triumph to do so, considering the rest of the world outside of Utah seems to look upon Marriage as temporary, or, "until death do us part"
My grandparents are just a testament of how love can last through the ages and continue to grow eternally.  I sure hope that my future spouse and I have an eternity of happy, unselfish love together.

3. When the Volcano Roars, I'm throwing you in first...-Shallow Sky

Odd title right? This song is actually written by one of my best friend's band.  I chose this song because I have increasingly found myself listening to their 3 song CD more and more.  They are amazing and if they work at it, could potentially go somewhere with their music.  I actually went and saw an acoustic set they performed at a cozy yogurt shop named, Spoon it Up.
Whenever I see the band play, I become slightly downed that my bands have not amounted to anything, but then I realize that I still have the rest of my life to write whatever music I want.  Whether or not it gets noticed, at least I'll always have something of my own to be proud of.
I'm sure that whoever I have written, or will write songs about will enjoy them as well, but hey, who knows.

Well, three songs is all I want to go into depth with. Perhaps in the future I will continue this practice, because frankly, I rather enjoyed it.  Here are some other Notable songs that I have been imagening as well for my experiences, or just plain enjoying recently.
  • If It Means a Lot to You- A Day to Remember
  • Shut Your Mouth- Attack Attack!
  • Tonight Tonight- Hot Chelle Rae
  • Party Rock Anthem- LMFAO
  • Come Together- the Beatles
  • She's Got Me Dancing- Tommy Sparks
  • Don't take the Girl- Tim McGraw? Garth Brooks?
  • Twist n' Shout- the Beatles
  • Your Smile- Me (Sorry! I had to!)    ;)
In case I don't see you, good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight.
